God saves an island through prayer

919248-1458775-thumbnail.jpgUgandan Christians, called by God to pray non-stop, have seen 50 people saved and a church planted on an unreached island with over 90% HIV/AIDS infection. This is reported by Paul Masindende from Victory Kings Ministries in Entebbe, Uganda.

"In our prayers the Lord revealed to us an island without a church in Lake Victoria. We all had the same name, 'Kacunga'. We found the island, 50 people were saved and a new church was planted. All because of prayer."

In a more recent update Paul reports: "We want to bring the gospel to the 84 Ssese Islands in the Kampala District of the Lake. 99.9% of these islands believe in witchcraft and almost all are illiterate. So far we have reached ten islands and we continue to pray to reach the others. I have just come back from Kacunga and the fellowship is so strong. The island has no power, school or hospital and over 90% of people have HIV/AIDS, but prayer is making a difference.  The primary industry of the island is fishing so I am blessed to carry on Jesus' ministry of raising fishermen to fishers of men."
